WRS surveyed, designed, and provided construction oversight for stabilization of 650 linear feet of eroding streambank along the Lower Craig/Plum Creek in Brown County, Kansas. Initiated by the Kickapoo Tribal Nation and funded via a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant, the project was generated to protect a tribal cemetery on top of the high bank.

WRS was contracted through an IDIQ/MATOC vehicle with USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service to complete an assessment, preliminary design, and cost estimate to stabilize two sections of an unnamed tributary to the Delaware River and one section of Plum Creek in rural Brown County, Kansas.

WRS first conducted a streambank stabilization alternatives feasibility study for the City of Leavenworth, investigating contributors behind and possible solutions to a streambank failure on an unnamed tributary to Fivemile Creek adjacent to homes along Independence Court.
